New technology, use of the internet, and the business-to-business e-commerce explosion have made great advances in the materials/supply management field. If you like working with people, computers, and data and are interested in working in an ever-changing logistics, manufacturing, service, or health care field, a career in materials/supply chain management is for you.

The job outlook in the supply chain management field appears favorable well into the next decade; employment opportunities are brightest for those with formal training. Employers place high value on strong computer, communication, analytical, planning, and team skills-graduates of LTC's ACCELerate Supply Chain Management program are keen competitors in today's job market.
Certification can also enhance your career opportunities. As a graduate of the Supply Chain Management program, you can take certification-level courses through the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) to become a certified production and control manager (CPIM) or through the National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) to become a certified purchasing manager (CPM).
