CLEVELAND, WI

Lakeshore Technical College’s international education program has been awarded a Business and International Education grant from the U.S. Department of Education.

LTC is one of only 22 colleges nationwide to receive the grant. LTC will receive at least $177,660 to continue developing its international education program.

The grant will be used to:

  • expand and strengthen LTC’s connections with international corporations and agencies,
  • increase international business competencies of LTC and grant partner Silver Lake College faculty and staff,
  • increase global education opportunities for LTC students,
  • build international internship opportunities for LTC and Silver Lake College students, and
  • create new international business education workshops for area companies to increase their competitive edge.

The grant required LTC to obtain support and commitment from community and international project partners. Besides Silver Lake College, LTC’s partners include The Manitowoc Company, Reichsprasident Friedrich-Ebert Schule of Germany, Wisconsin Department of Commerce and World Trade Center Wisconsin.

LTC International Education Coordinator Deborah Ryan and LTC Grants Specialist Rebecca Polar were integral in crafting the grant proposal. For more information about LTC’s international education program, contact Ryan at 920-693-1695 or deborah.ryan@gotoltc.edu.
