Strategic Planning
Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP)

A Systems Portfolio is an institutional assessment that is based on the nine AQIP criteria, a sort of "institutional balance sheet" that counts up the strengths and gaps in our critical operating systems. The Systems Portfolio contains an overview which helps to summarize each of the nine “criterions” and serves as an up-to-date account of key systems and processes at Lakeshore Technical College.

The Systems Portfolio is organized around the nine AQIP Categories, a set of questions for each system or group of processes common to all higher education institutions. For each Criterion, the questions ask the institution to describe:

  • The context for the system under examination (C),
  • The key processes the organization uses to accomplish its goals (P),
  • The performance results the organization is obtaining with its current processes (R), and
  • how the organization uses its results data to identify targets for improvement and enhance the system and the organization's operations (I)

Lakeshore Technical College submitted its AQIP Systems Portfolio in November, 2004. Systems Appraisal Feedback Report will be available soon.
