Why would my organization want to be a part of Employer–On–Campus?
Employers have told us that their recruiting needs have changed: They need to hire employees year round, when they need them, one–by–one or in small numbers. Employers don’t always want to wait for the once– or twice–a–year job fairs to come along. Employer–On–Campus provides employers just–in–time access to a well–trained pool of prospective applicants throughout the academic year.

What does it cost for my organization to participate in Employer–On–Campus?
This is a free service of the LTC Student Employment Office. There is no fee.

How do I register my organization for Employer–On–Campus?
Employers have access to the registration process 24/7 through the LTC website.

How will my registration be acknowledged/confirmed?
The Student Employment Office sends a confirmation email within 48 hours stating location of your visit, T124 (T&I Building) or Café 2 (Lakeshore Building). In the event that the date/time you selected has already been reserved for another employer, you will be asked to make another choice.

What should I bring when I visit?
Employers are responsible for bringing their own materials (application forms, pens, pencils, business cards, etc.). Students appreciate giveaways, so feel free to bring along promotional items for name recognition. There is adequate space for an organization to set up a table top display, approximately 4’x 2’, or a moderately sized floor display. There are electrical outlets nearby.

LTC provides employers with a table and several chairs for their visit. A small standing sign announcing the day’s employers is also at the recruitment location. The approximate size of useable space in the recruiting area is 15’ x 10’.

How are students made award of my organization’s visit and job openings?
The Student Employment Office promotes Employer–On–Campus details to students through use of posters around campus, messages on LTC TV monitors, articles in the student newsletter, and the LTC Website, as well as the signage in the recruitment location. In addition, LTC staff and faculty are informed of employer visits via email and the staff newsletter.

Employers are encouraged to utilize TechConnect (the free, online job posting service of the Wisconsin Technical College System’s Student Employment Offices statewide) as another recruitment venue.

I’ve registered my organization for Employer–On–Campus, and received the confirmation email. How do I get to LTC’s Cleveland Campus?
LTC is located at 1290 North Avenue (County Highway XX), Cleveland, Wisconsin, less than a mile East of I–43 at Exit 137.

Where do I park?
Visiting employers may park in the East lot in “Visitor” designated stalls. The north end of the East lot is closest to the Conference Center area and Employer–On–Campus recruiting location.

If you are being located in the Trade & Industry Building (T124), enter in the student parking entrance. At the stop sign, before you cross the bridge, you may park in the visitor parking. Enter in the southeast doors of the Trade and Industry Building. You will set up in the first room to the left (T124)

When I’m at the Cleveland Campus, how do I get to the Employer–On–Campus recruiting area?
The designated Employer–On–Campus recruiting area is located in the Conference Center area, just off the main Cafeteria in the Lakeshore (L) Building. For easy access, use the left (lower) set of doors to enter the Lakeshore Building Conference Center from the East parking lot. The Employer–On–Campus area is on the right, just as you enter the Cafeteria.

Will I be able to complete a survey?
Yes, an Employer–On–Campus Continuous Improvement Survey will be sent to you the day after your visit.
